Gergo Szemes, from Hungary, has been the winner of the 2022 Sabadell Junior World Cup event, after defeating the American Brandon Li in the final by 15-8. The third position ex-aequo was occupied by Paul Antoine De Belval, from France, and the also American Bryce Louie.
The competition has had a participation record with 177 participants from 29 countries and has been a spectacular framework within the celebrations of the centennial of the Catalan Fencing Federation and the tenth anniversary of the Sabadell Jaume Viladoms Fencing Club, organizers of the event.
The good organization has allowed the competition to be held despite the global health situation, thanks to the massive antigen tests that have been carried out on all the participants and attendees.
