On February 10, 11 and 12, the INEFC of Barcelona will once again host the Trofeu Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona d’Esgrima, which this year reaches its 46th edition, and for the first time in history it is possible that it will exceed the number of 300 participants, coming from all corners of the world (epée fencers of 54 different nationalities have confirmed their presence), and a record of participation will also be reached in the team competition, with 34 teams registered.

Although the world number 1 is not present, the next 26 ranked in the world ranking will not miss the appointment, with the world number 2 in front, the Korean Sera Song, current world champion and winner of the last edition of the “Ciutat de Barcelona”, which will have as rivals the Hong Kong Man Wai Vivian Kong, current Asian champion, the Ukrainian Vlada Kharkova, current European champion, the Argentine Isabel Di Tella, current American champion, and the Egyptian Nardin Ehab, current African champion. Among the list of favorites are the Italian Rossella Fiamingo, double world champion and current number 4 in the world, the Brazilian Nathalie Moellhausen, recent winner of the Doha Grand Prix, and other illustrious fencers who are currently classified in the World Top-10 , Alberta Santuccio, Anna Kun, Marie Florence Candassamy, Alexandra Ndolo, Katharine Holmes, and Auriane Mallo. Nor can we forget the current Olympic champion, the Chinese Yiwen Sun, veteran fencers like the world champions Mara Navarria or Julia Beljajeva, or young promises like Eszter Muhari, Angeline Favre, Sihan Yu or Aliya Luty.
